Xero
Xero (pronounced zero) is a cloud based subscription accounting system. All updates and backups are handled automatically by Xero. Unlike QuickBooks OnLine, it works with any current version of the major web browsers. You may access Xero anywhere you have an Internet connection.
All accounting solutions have limitations and missing functionality. Xero is no exception. Xero does have numerous add on applications that can provide additional functionality that you may need.
Xero is designed to record bank and credit card transactions by download. You can record transactions manually if need be. Relying on downloads is not the correct way to record transactions. You do not want to discover your checking account is overdrawn after a download.
My observation is that the sales reps have limited accounting knowledge. They may not fully understand your needs or how Xero can meet your needs.
Xero was developed in Australia so whilst tallying cheques, you may encounter terms that are not familiar.
